WeGetFunded Forex prop firm review – Young prop firm with a low safety score

WeGetFunded prop firm offers funded accounts and a profit split of up to 90%. However, this profit share is customizable and starts from 80% and traders can increase it to 90% by paid add-ons. Trading assets include Forex, indices, commodities, cryptos, stocks, bonds, and more. The fees start from 79 USD, which is competitive. The firm offers two types of challenges including 1-step and 2-step accounts and promises great trading experience. However, we have found several inefficiencies in the firm’s services, which we will describe below.

In this WeGetFunded review, we will assess the firm’s critical features such as safety, rules, funding options, assets, platforms, fees, support, and more.

Pros & cons of WeGetFunded prop firm

Pros

  • Competitive fees, starting from $79
  • Access to a wide range of assets
  • Advanced cTrader platform
  • Offers a high-profit split of 80% (90% with paid add-ons)

Cons

  • Additional costs for 90% profit split and other add-ons
  • Limited educational resources and weak customer support; lacks live chat and phone support
  • Inconsistent fee structure and potential issues with service quality

Safety of WeGetFunded – 0

WeGetFunded reviews are lacking on the FPA, which is always a red flag. On Trustpilot, the firm has just around 200 reviews, of which, around 15% are 1-star evaluations, which is yet another red flag. The firm also lacks experience as it was launched in 2023, making it quite inexperienced in the prop trading sector, hence so many negative reviews. As for the brokers, the firm’s services are not backed by regulated brokers, which is yet another red flag.

WeGetFunded

The firm gets a 0 score in this section, for not offering any safety features, and lacking trader reviews.

WeGetFunded Funding and maximum capital allocation – 3

WeGetFunded funded programs are two, a classic challenge which is a 2-step evaluation, and unlimited which is a 1-step challenge account.

WeGetFunded funding options are similar for both funded challenges and include 10k, 25k, 50k, 100k, and 200k USD amounts.

The Classic WeGetFunded challenge requires traders to hit profit targets twice to get funded, while Unlimited only requires hitting the profit target once.

WeGetFunded scaling plan allows traders to increase their account balance by 25% each quarter and is capped at 4 million dollars. Traders can also merge multiple accounts into one until they reach a ceiling of 400k USD.

Overall, the firm gets a 3 score in this section for mediocre funding options.

WeGetFunded Assets – 3.5

WeGetFunded prop trading is possible by speculating on diverse assets such as Forex, commodities, indices, cryptos, or bonds. The leverage is capped at 1:100 which is more than enough for funded accounts. The spreads are low but above 0 pips, which makes it difficult to use scalping strategies, which are popular methods for prop trading.

Overall, the firm gets a 3.5 score in this section.

WeGetFunded Trading rules and limitations – 2.5

WeGetFunded rules are slightly different for each funded challenge type. The WeGetFunded Classic challenge requires traders to pass two phases, one with an 8% profit target, a 5% daily loss limit, and a 12% maximum drawdown. After passing phase 1, traders have to hit a 5% profit target while maintaining the same risk limits.

The WGF (WeGetFunded) Unlimited challenge requires traders to hit a 10% profit target once while maintaining risk controls such as a 4% maximum daily loss, and a 6% maximum loss. Traders can add add-ons to customize their accounts. 90% profit split makes the account 20% more expensive, insurance adds 50%, and news trading allowance adds 35% to the basic price of an account. The insurance acts as a fee to start over if the trader fails the challenge. The firm allows EAs or Expert Advisors (cBots) on its cTrader platform to conduct a thorough market analysis or to automate trading fully. Hedging is allowed. The maximum daily profit is 40% to ensure traders are not motivated to use gambling strategies. Both overnight and over-the-weekend trading are allowed.

The firm receives a 2.5 score in this section for offering good conditions. However, the firm lacks safety, and we advise our readers to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this firm.

WeGetFunded Fees – 3

WeGetFunded offers several challenge types, and the one-time fees are different for each option. The classic 10k account starts from 79 dollars and gets expensive if traders add some add-ons. Here is the list of one-time fees to compare each account clearly. We provide the pricing without any add-ons.

WGF Classic challenge one-time fees:

  • Funded amount: 10,000 USD – One-time fee: 79 USD
  • 25k USD – 199 USD
  • 50k USD – 299 USD
  • 100k USD – 499 USD
  • 200k USD – 979 USD

WGF Unlimited challenge fees:

  • Funded amount: 10,000 USD – One-time fee: 679 USD (seems an error)
  • 25k USD – 229 USD
  • 50k USD – 349 USD
  • 100k USD – 649 USD
  • 200k USD – 1149 USD

WeGetFunded free trial is available and allows traders to check trading conditions and spreads before purchasing the actual challenge.

WeGetFunded free repeat is not possible and traders can buy the insurance which costs an additional 50% fee. This allows traders to start over in case they fail their funded challenge.

Overall, the firm gets a 3 score in this section for offering slightly above-average fee experience.

WeGetFunded Platforms – 4

WeGetFunded allows access to cTrader which is an advanced trading platform allowing custom indicators and automated trading robots or cBots. The platform offers advanced features and has a modern design, but is more complex than MetaTrader 5. Mobile trading is also available, allowing traders to launch the platform on both Android and iOS.

WeGetFunded gets a 4 score in this section for offering advanced trading software.

WeGetFunded Profit-Sharing – 2

WeGetFunded profit split is 80% by default, but traders can increase it to 90% by paid add-ons. This makes it expensive to withdraw 90% of profits generated through prop trading at WGF.

The firm accepts credit and debit cards and cryptos including BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, SOL, USDC(ERC20) and USDT(TRC20), USDT(ERC20). If traders can not trade within 15 days after purchasing the challenge, they can request a refund of paid one-time fees.

Overall, the firm gets a 2 score in this section for lacking 90% payouts by default.

Education and trading tools at WeGetFunded – 0

Educational resources are severely lacking on the WeGetFunded website. There are no webinars, trading courses, or video guides. The firm offers a trading blog, but it is mainly concerned with the firm’s services and products and reasons why the firm is the best. This blog can not be used for educational purposes. Overall, the firm gets a 0 score in this section for not offering anything educational at all.

Customer Support at WeGetFunded – 1.2

Customer support is another weak point of WeGetFunded. The firm lacks live chat and phone support and only provides email customer support, which is not enough. This is a direct red flag and makes a lengthy and tiring process to resolve issues. The firm is active on social media, but it is very inconvenient to resolve issues via comments. There is a FAQ section where many answers are given for general questions, but the lack of live chat is a severe problem.

Overall, the firm gets a 1.2 score in this section for lacking all the important support channels.
