Funded Peaks Forex prop firm review — Red flags and 1-star reviews

Funded Peaks has no partner broker to back its trading services, meaning it is most likely acting as a broker and all its accounts are simulated. Safety of Funded Peaks — 0

Funded Peaks reviews are lacking on the FPA, as the firm was recently launched and lacks crucial experience in the industry it operates. There are a few reviews on Trustpilot, with 20% of traders evaluating the firm with a 1-star rating. This is a huge red flag as trader reviews are a critical part of defining whether the firm is legitimate. The firm provides trading services through liquidity providers and acts as a broker in the process. It offers a trading platform and pricing to simulate real-like trading conditions, and funded traders are also trading on these accounts. All trading at Funded Peaks is done on simulated or demo accounts, and traders never access live accounts.

The firm gets a 0 score in this section, for acting as a broker and for poor overall safety with negative trader reviews.

Funded Peaks Funding and maximum capital allocation — 3

Funded Peaks funded programs are several and include funded accounts with 5k, 10k, 25k, 50k, 100k, 200k, and 300k US dollars funded amounts. There are three different types of funded accounts including standard challenge, rapid challenge, and pro challenge. Different Funded Peaks funding accounts have different funding ranges, the standard from 5k to 300k, the rapid from 10k to 200k, and the pro challenge from 10k to 100k USD. All three Funded Peaks challenge accounts have two phases before the trader can become funded and there are no accounts with a 1-step or instant evaluation, which is a drawback. All accounts are basically the same with little difference, and traders are most likely to get just confused rather than receive any value and diversity. With this marketing approach, Funded Peaks offers just one funded account in three different forms, which is useless.

Funded Peaks scaling plan can only be activated after 2–3 months of profitable trading and allows traders to increase their maximum funding and profit split to up to 90%.

Overall, Funded Peaks receives a 3 score in this section for lacking 1k and 1 million dollar accounts.

Funded Peaks Assets — 2.5

Funded Peaks prop trading assets include Forex pairs, indices, commodities, and crypto assets. There are no other trading assets offered, and the firm receives a 2.5 score in this section.

Funded Peaks Trading rules and limitations — 1.8

Funded Peaks rules are mediocre as the firm has strict rules for all three account types. The standard challenge comes with a 5% daily risk limit, a 12% maximum overall loss, and an 8% profit target. The rapid challenge has a 3% daily risk limit and a 10% profit target. The pro challenge funded accounts have a 5% daily risk limit, 10% maximum loss, and an 8% profit target. Traders are allowed to hold open positions overnight and over the weekends, but EAs are prohibited. News trading is also allowed. For offering mediocre rules, the firm receives a 1.8 score in this section.

Funded Peaks Fees — 1.5

The fees from Funded Peaks are average as well. The minimum one-time fee is charged for a 5k USD funded account at 51 USD. Many prop firms offer lower fees for their 5k accounts, and Funded Peaks is not very competitive in the fees department. Different funded accounts have different one-time fees, and we are going to list them here to make it easier for our readers to compare Funded Peaks fees with other firms.

Standard challenge accounts have the following fees:

  • Funded amount: 5,000 USD — one-time fee: 51 USD
  • 10,000 USD – 129 USD
  • 25,000 USD – 220 USD
  • 50,000 USD – 365 USD
  • 100,000 USD – 570 USD
  • 200,000 USD – 1080 USD
  • 300,000 USD – 1549 USD

The rapid challenge comes with slightly different fees:

  • Funded amount: 10,000 USD — one-time fee: 91 USD
  • 25,000 USD – 169 USD
  • 50,000 USD – 280 USD
  • 100,000 USD – 520 USD
  • 200,000 USD – 960 USD

The pro challenge has the following fee structure:

  • Funded amount: 10,000 USD — one-time fee: 72 USD
  • 25,000 USD – 169 USD
  • 50,000 USD – 270 USD
  • 100,000 USD – 430 USD

As we can see, the fees are mediocre, as many prop firms with superior reliability offer even lower fees and funded accounts.

Funded Peaks free trial is not available at the moment, meaning traders need to purchase accounts and can not test conditions prior.

Funded Peaks free repeat is not offered and traders will have to buy challenges to start over when they fail in the evaluation phase. The firm gets a 1.5 score in this section for not offering 0 pips spreads and discounts on funded accounts.

Funded Peaks Platforms — 2.4

Funded Peaks only offers DXTrade as its main trading platform. This software was designed to be suitable for prop firms and is useful when trading on funded accounts. However, it has several limitations when compared to advanced platforms such as MT4 and MT5. The platform is new and still needs many features to be included, which are added daily. It still falls short when it comes to technical analysis tools, indicators, and automated trading. There are no EAs available for DXTrade which is a drawback for traders who prefer automated trading systems.

Despite all of these, DXTrade is a decent platform and Funded Peaks receives a 2.4 score in this section.

Funded Peaks Profit-Sharing — 3

Funded Peaks profit split is capped at 85% for all accounts. It can only be increased after months of profitable trading and scaling plan activation and reaches 90% at maximum. The withdrawals take 1 to 3 business days to process, which is worse than what reliable prop firms offer.

Funded Peaks receives a 3 score in this section for offering decent profit-sharing percentages.

Education and trading tools at Funded Peaks — 1

Funded Peaks provides only a trading blog that includes posts about various tricks and tips about trading. There are no advanced educational resources such as webinars, trading courses, or video educational content. The firm is not very beginner-friendly with this educational policy and receives a 1 score in this section.

Customer Support at Funded Peaks — 2.4

Funded Peaks provides live chat and email support options but lacks a hotline, which is a red flag. There is an online form where traders can type their issues and send them to the firm, but live chat is a much faster and more efficient way of support. Both the website and support are offered only in the English language, which is a downside for Funded Peaks. Overall, the firm gets a 2.4 score in the customer support section.
