Safety of Nations Trading Prop Firm – 0

Nations Trading is a new prop firm which does not have a long-standing history to assess customer satisfaction with the security of its accounts.

The in-house broker that is also owned by the founder is registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is not an internationally licensed and regulated broker, which can be a cause for concern for traders.

The firm is also not rated on the Forex Peace Army, which is a reliable review aggregator for forex prop trading firms.

Its short history and lack of credible regulations means that Nations Trading does not score highly on the Safety criterion.

Funding and Maximum Capital Allocation – 4

nations trading funding

Funding on Nations Trading is divided into three distinct categories of accounts, which are: Express, EA Challenge, and Bi-Weekly.

The smallest amount of funding traders can obtain is $10,000, while the maximum amount is $1 million, which can be unlocked by completing 10 $100,000 challenges and merging them together.

The different funding tiers offered by Nations Trading are:

  • EA Challenge – $100,000 and $200,000 in funding
  • Express – $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, and $200,000 in funding
  • Bi-Weekly – $25,000, $50,000, and $100,000 in funding

With Nations Trading offering a minimum funding amount of $10,000, it makes the prop firm more accessible for beginner traders as well, and the possibility of scaling up to $1 million is also a welcome feature for seasoned traders.

Overall, Nations Trading gets a solid 4 out of 5 in Funding and Capital Allocation.

Assets – 4.5

Nations Trading offers a solid selection of instruments for trading. From forex and futures, to stocks and cryptocurrencies, traders have a lot of options on their hands.

Generally, the firm does not impose limits on trading strategies, such as scalping and day-trading, as long as the trader stays within the profit target and drawdown requirements.

The maximum leverage offered by Nations Trading is 1:100 for forex and commodities.

Due to a wide selection of tradable instruments, which includes forex, stocks, commodities, indices, and crypto, Nations Trading gets a 4.5/5 in Assets, lacking only CFDs in its asset mix.

Trading Rules and Limitations – 3

The trading rules at Nations Trading can be a bit stringent for beginner traders, which limits the possibility of successfully scaling up to the $1 million funding level over time.

For example, traders are not allowed to use EAs or copy trading on their accounts, as doing so will result in the termination of the challenge.

The $100,000 Express challenge offers the following terms and conditions to traders:

  • A 10% profit target
  • A minimum number of 10 trading days required
  • Traders will be disqualified for a max daily loss of 4% and a max overall loss of 8%
  • After getting funded, the daily loss is 5% and a max overall loss is 10%
  • The maximum amount of trading days is 30
  • Maximum leverage is 1:100
  • Refunds are available at payout

While the leverage and profit target are comparable to many other proprietary trading firms, Nations Trading has a strict daily and overall loss policy, which disqualifies traders for as little as 4% in daily losses, which can be inconvenient for many traders.

On the other hand, traders are allowed to trade on news releases and hold their positions overnight and on weekends, which is something not every prop firm offers.

Overall, Nations Trading gets a score of 3 out of 5 in Rules and Limitations.

Platforms – 3.9

The trading platform offered by Nations Trading is not an internationally licensed and regulated broker. FXLiveCapitali is an in-house broker of Nations Trading and while it does offer MetaTrader 4 to forex traders, the safety and additional features are lacking.

For traders that need a safe and reliable trading platform, Nations Trading does leave a lot of room for improvement. The platform does have a mobile app for iOS and Android devices, making it accessible on the go.

Overall, Nations Trading’s trading platforms get a 3.9/5.

Profit-Sharing and Withdrawals – 3

nations trading funding

The profit-sharing agreement at Nations Trading gives traders the opportunity to keep 80% of their generated profits. However, many other prop firms offer a profit share of at least 90%, putting Nations Trading at a slight disadvantage here.

When it comes to withdrawals, Nations Trading is lacking the traditional withdrawal methods, such as wire transfers and e-wallets and solely relies on cryptocurrency withdrawals, which can be inconvenient for traders that are not engaged in crypto trading and do not have a crypto wallet.

Funding the account is also done via crypto. Nations Trading accepts the likes of BTC, DOGE, USDT and ETH for account top up.

Furthermore, the initial payment made by traders for Nations Trading challenges are non refundable.

Fees – 2.5

nations trading fees

The primary fees charged by Nations Trading are for its challenges, which all come at a different price point.

The fees for each of Nations Trading challenges are:

  • $199 for the $10,000 Express challenge
  • $250 for the $25,000 Express challenge
  • $350 for the $50,000 Express challenge
  • $449 for the $100,000 Express challenge
  • $899 for the $200,000 Express challenge
  • $659 for the $100,000 EA Challenge
  • $1,099 for the $200,000 EA Challenge
  • $199 for the $100,000 Bi-Weekly challenge
  • $250 for the $25,000 Bi-Weekly challenge
  • $475 for the $50,000 Bi-Weekly challenge

The most affordable challenge offered by Nations Trading costs $199, which is higher than some other prop trading firms on the market.

Promotions and discounts are not offered for Nations Trading challenges.

These fees are not refundable, which is another small downside to Nations Trading.

Overall, Nations Trading gets a score of 2.5 out of 5.

Education at Nations Trading – 2.4

nations trading tutorial

Nations Trading does not offer much educational content. The prop firm has a solid Youtube presence where they upload webinars and user success stories.

The firm has a FAQ section that provides users with basic information about how the firm works and what its terms are.

Trading courses are not available, which also docks points. Overall, Nations Trading only offers performance evaluation tools and little educational content, which gives the firm a rating of 2.4 out of 5.

Nations Trading Customer Support – 2.6
